After scholarship and grant money, the remaining tuition balance is up to the student to pay out of pocket. While some students and families have the funds to pay the balance out of pocket, many do not. To pay the remaining tuition balance, students can take out loans from the federal government. Loans must be repaid at a later date; typically six months after college graduation. There are many different repayment plans available. Your college's financial aid office can answer questions about your specific loan options.
